[ it takes him a few seconds to process what she's giving him such a weird look for - then he realizes, again, that he's still in animal form, and that she had no idea he could do that. It's really difficult to remember that most people here have never seen a beastman when it was absolutely normal for the rest of his life, even after almost a year.
With a choked-off "ah," Zara the rabbit stands up on his hind legs - then, after little more than a popping noise and a haltingly brief transformation, he's back to looking like his normal self, albeit more apologetic (and somewhat ashamed.) ]
M-my apologies. That was rude to do suddenly... I merely thought I'd need the extra speed. [ turning into animal form in public like a savage, how uncouth!! Awkwardly, he clears his throat. ] ... I'm glad that you're all right, nonetheless.
